Join us for an exciting and creative experience at Guided Open Studio! This open-ended workshop time is perfect for both beginners and experienced ceramic enthusiasts who want to explore their artistic interests with the guidance of our instructors. During Guided Open Studio, you'll have the opportunity to work on your own projects and receive assistance as needed. Our instructors will be there to help you get started, answer any questions you may have, demonstrate various techniques, and provide tips and tricks to enhance your work. In Guided Open Studio, we welcome people of all ages, so it's a great opportunity to bring your family or friends along for a fun and creative time together. Whether you want to create functional pottery, sculptural pieces, or experiment with different forms and techniques, we provide all the tools, clay, glazes, and equipment you could need to bring your artistic visions to life. It's important to note that Guided Open Studio is not a dedicated wheel throwing course or private lesson, although our instructors are available to help you get started on the wheel. If you're new to wheel throwing, we recommend watching some online tutorials beforehand to familiarize yourself with the fundamentals. However, if you're interested in hand-building, sculpture, or other techniques, our instructors will be there to guide you through the process and offer support and suggestions along the way. When working with clay, it's essential to understand the necessary steps for firing and glazing your pieces. Ceramic pieces need to be fully dried before they can be bisque-fired, and glazing can only be done after the bisque-firing process. As a result, we can't guarantee that pieces made during a single session will be ready for glazing at the immediately following session. We recommend scheduling a separate session for glazing at least two weeks after creating your work to ensure proper drying and firing time. Join us at Guided Open Studio to unleash your creativity, learn new techniques, and enjoy the process of creating with clay in a supportive and inspiring environment. We look forward to seeing you there!
