Service Description
*No Class November 25th - Thanksgiving weekend* Join our intermediate wheel-throwing class and elevate your ceramic artistry to new heights. This class is designed for those with some prior experience in wheel throwing who are looking to further develop their skills and explore new techniques. Throughout the course, we will delve into the intricacies of wedging, centering, shaping through pulling and lifting, trimming, handle construction, glazing, and basic surface decoration. Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, you will refine your wheel-throwing techniques and gain a deeper understanding of the nuances involved in creating both decorative and functional ceramic pieces. We will focus on honing your skills in achieving consistent forms, exploring different shapes and sizes, and experimenting with various surface textures and finishes. Includes: Use of pottery wheels, studio tools, studio glazes, kiln firings, class clay and shared shelf space. All pieces will be ready for pick up between 2-3 weeks after the last class.
