Service Description

Guided Open Studio is a great way to make art in the studio while having someone nearby to help get you started, answer questions, demonstrate techniques, and show you around the studio. Open studio is geared towards people with some experience in clay but beginners are welcome too. We allow people of all ages at Guided Open Studio so this is a great time to bring your family in to do a project. We provide all the tools, clay, glaze and equipment you could need to make anything in the studio. These classes are booked in 2-hour increments but you can stay longer than the time frame given, 2 hours go by fast when you're having fun! Students with punchcards and people on memberships are welcome to join these Guided Open Studio sessions as well! Note - This class is not a wheel throwing course or private lesson, our instructor is happy to help get you started on the wheel but to get an understanding of the fundamentals of wheel throwing we encourage you to take a wheel throwing course. If you want to start out wheel throwing at guided open studio we recommend watching a few tutorials online prior to your studio time. When ceramic pieces are finished they must fully dry out before being bisque fired, pieces can not be glazed until they have been bisque fired. We can not promise pieces made will be ready to fire during the following session. We recommend booking a session to glaze work at least 2 weeks after making something.
