Service Description
Continue to practice wheel throwing techniques needed to create decorative and functional ceramic works of art. We'll continue to explore wedging, centering, shaping by pulling and lifting, trimming, handles, glazing, basic surface decoration, and more. For Students that have taken Intro to Wheel Throwing at WGA or an equivalent class somewhere else. Includes: Use of pottery wheels, studio tools, studio glazes, kiln firings, class clay, and shared shelf space. This is a great way to start your relationship with WGA. This class will throw you into the world of clay and get you excited to explore the craft further. Join instructor Ashley Nelson-Parrish, who has 15 years of experience in ceramics and teaching in the non-profit sector. All pieces will be ready for pick up between 2-3 weeks after the last class.
