Service Description

Learn and practice Glazing techniques to improve your glazing outcomes. Learn about the features of and how to read test tiles, design your own test tiles, and test glaze combinations of your own. Learn about what glazes combine well and why some don't. Understand more about food safety with glazes and how to tell when pieces are not food safe. Watch videos from other artists to learn more techniques and styles. Includes: Use of studio space, studio tools, studio glazes, kiln firings, 25-pound bag of clay, and shared shelf space. This is a great way to learn more about glazing and develop your own glazing techniques. Students will have access to outside-of-class time to make pieces to glaze or can use pieces from other classes they are enrolled in. This class will throw you into the world of glazing and get you excited to explore the craft further. Join instructor Kristina, who has 5 years of experience in ceramics and studied Glazing and glaze making in college. All pieces will be ready for pick up between 2-3 weeks after the last class.
